In Gallery. An Artist's Dream.

In Gallery on the Bang Niang Beach Road

In Gallery is the dream of Thai artist Inplaeng Fansai. The gallery came to life two years ago when he moved from Krabi to Khao Lak to achieve his dream. Inplaneg or In as everyone calls him, is originally for the north of Thailand, Nong Khai and learnt to paint while living and working on Koh Samui. In hasn’t gone to university but instead, with a passion to paint, learnt from experience and is now a very accomplished artist with a number of exhibitions already under his belt.

The Move to Khao Lak

Khun In

Thai artist Inplaeng Fansai

In’s dream was to open an art gallery that produced beautiful oil paintings on good quality canvas using Winton Oil Paints. While on Samui he had opened he fulfilled this dream and opened his first gallery. After deciding to leave and move to Krabi he found he missed the interaction with people, helping them get that perfect portrait of a loved one or that piece of art work that lets you relax when you look at it.

In had already visited Khao Lak and loved the location, the beach and also the fact that there was great fishing (another passion). So in August 2012 In Gallery was opened beside P&Y Guest House, on the Bang Niang Beach Road.

Each and every year, In takes pride in the work at In Gallery and is always changing things to ensure the best for his dream. For the 2014-2015 High Season, In decided to open a second gallery at Bang Niang Market, so now today, there are two In Galleries within 500m of each other.

The second In Gallery

In Gallery at the Market

Both hold different paintings but both have the same high quality canvas and paints. The main, original gallery is open everyday from 10am until well into the night. The second, “In Gallery @ the market” is only open on market days from 2pm and is situated next door to Khao Niau Restaurant. In can be found at either but he also has a few friends who paint at both galleries.

Paintings at In Gallery

In Gallery holds a large variety of quality paintings

Many people come looking for a reproduction of their favourite painter/artist, some have a photo they like that they want turned into an everlasting piece of art; the guys at In Gallery will help but they will also advise on how that perfect piece can be achieved. As well as offering commissioned work, both galleries hold a wide selection of original, reproduced, Thai cultural, modern, and abstract artwork ideal for any occasion or wall.

Paintings are sold, canvas only, rolled and secured in a strong, easily transportable PVC tube. If customers wish to not carry the rolled up painting on an aeroplane, the guys at In Gallery can also arrange international shipping to any location. Depending on the painting required, many can be completed in a relatively short period of time.

How to Find In Gallery

For further information, call by and talk to In directly at either gallery (remember that the market gallery is only open on market days), email In using the contact form below.

Weather at Ban Nam Kem, Thailand
Sunny Spells in Early July

The sunny weather that marked the end of June continued well into the first week of July. Rain and storms had been forecast, but instead Khao Lak saw plenty of blue skies, white fluffy clouds and warm temperatures.

Towards the middle of July Khao Lak's weather returned to it's predicable low season weather patterns. Scattered showers throughout the day and high humidity. There were plenty of dry spells too allowing people to get out and about.

Khao Lak on Thailand's Highway 4
How to get to Khao Lak

Khao Lak is ideally located just one hour north of Phuket Island. For a beachside destination in southern Thailand it is by far one of the most easily accessible. There is no conflicting information like 'many roads lead to Khao Lak'. Only one road leads to Khao Lak, Highway 4 which runs from Bangkok in central Thailand all the way to the Malay boarder in the south. The ease in which you can reach Khao Lak, as well as being the gateway to the famous Similan Islands, is adding to the small town's popularity as a tourist destination.
